grenadier guards association Manchester

This is me and my comrades (a motley crew) in L/Sgt Harrads squad @ the guards depot 1960 something!! I'm the one sat on the front row, end right as you look at the photo. 24021133 Gdsm (in training) Wharton.

Served in the 2nd Batt. in Windsor, BAOR, Chelsea, Northern Ireland went with No.2 Company and the Scots Guards to Shahjah, returned to Caterham and got demobbed after reaching the dizzy hieghts of L/Sgt.

Now living in Canada in the Okanagan Valley, which I'm pleased to say is one of the nicest places in the world to live!

Still in touch with a couple of my ex- army buddies, we swap e-mails and jokes, one day I'll tear my self away from paradise to down a jint with them. Meanwhile if any remembers me, I would love if they dropped a line @ j.wharton@shaw.ca
